Focus on your personal values
Others may claim that they are not spiritual at all, which is fine too. This section is not us telling you to find religion or subscribe to certain beliefs. However, if you already had religious beliefs or practices that were an important part of your life, you may find comfort in continuing to practice your faith in any way you can. Many cancer patients find solace and comfort in their religion. That being said, you don't need to have any specific religious beliefs to find peace. Focusing on your moral values and what you want to accomplish and achieve in life can also go a long way towards making you comfortable even in the face of such a daunting disease. At the end of the day, spirituality differs from person to person, so you will have to decide how you can find meaning, comfort, and solace within yourself.
