Additional research is necessary
While this study has made significant leaps in the field of cystic fibrosis research, there is still further research that needs to be done before the findings can be deemed entirely conclusive regarding the efficacy, as well as the safety, of quorum-sensing inhibitors. It is possible that the inhibitors may soon be offered as supplements to both Kalydeco and Orkambi, should the further research solidify the findings.
