The importance of empathy
Cancer is something that is a common enemy for us. Jordin feels that we have lessons to learn from these kids. For one, we should all be kinder to each other to try and make this world a better place. She challenges us that when we meet anyone new, we should always think to ourselves - we don't know what this person has faced in their life, and what they're battling at that moment. This is the basis for empathy and understanding that strengthens the sense of community between us.
