Marijuana’s Role in Cancer Treatment

Patient attitudes

While the verdict may still be out from the medical community on whether or not patients should use medical marijuana, researchers have recognized that many patients are still using the drug. Especially since several states have begun to legalize even recreational marijuana over the recent years and access to the drug has become more common, patients are beginning to use it more frequently to alleviate their symptoms.

Because the usage of marijuana among cancer patients has risen in recent years, a new study recently published in the online magazine CANCER from the American Cancer Society tried to study patients’ attitudes and usage habits regarding the drug.
