The Monday Blues are REAL: 20 percent more people die of a heart attack on Mondays

Hate Mondays just as much as we do? Well, now you have another reason. Of all the days of the week, Monday is connected to the most stress. There actually have been several studies that have found a weekly pattern of deaths from heart attacks. While they are low during the weekend, they spike on Mondays, and drop quickly on Tuesdays. The risk for men is 20 percent higher, while the risk for women is only 15 percent higher. The assumption is that this is caused by stress and anxiety about the start of a new work week. So if your looking for an excuse to call in...tell your boss this!
