Your nose can identify over 50,000 scents

Researchers have found that our noses can identify and differentiate 50,000 scents, whether it be severe or mild. Turns out, these scents come directly from our memory. So, when a smell is particularly stronger than others, it could be tied to one our most fondest memories, like the perfume your mother always wore or that dinner your husband took you on for your first date. These scents might seem standard, but they bring your memories forward and cause neurotransmitters to be released.
