Not getting the right amount of exercise
We already talked about the importance of maintaining a healthy weight. With this comes exercise, but not too much and not too little. Working out too aggressively can not only put too much physical stress on your joints, but can also send you into an anaerobic state. This means your body will not be getting enough oxygen which can also increase your RA pain. On the other hand, if you do not work out enough, you will not strengthen your muscles and joints. So, listen to your body and work with your health care team to find the right balance.
