Mistakes People With Rheumatoid Arthritis Can Make

Weight gain

Not having too much pressure on your joints can help alleviate the symptoms of RA. If you are gaining too much weight this can worsen those symptoms, especially in the joints of the hips, knees, and ankles. It is important that you talk with your health care provider about what a healthy weight range is for you. Being over or under weight has additional health consequences as well. Maintaining proper nutrition and getting regular exercise can help keep you healthy in other ways as well. Just be sure to talk to your provider about what exercises will be helpful and not increase your pain.
