One Woman’s Powerful Story of Living with Multiple Sclerosis

Colleen was high-functioning at the time of her diagnosis

Colleen is a mother from Idaho Falls who raised 5 children with her loving husband, Terry. Before her diagnosis, she was working several jobs as a dental assistant, florist, and Mary Kay consultant.

Colleen was also a devout Christian, who was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved to do crafts including painting and creating floral arrangements.

Multiple sclerosis is a devastating disease. It rips away people's independence as the disease gets worse. This was very difficult for Colleen. With each passing day that the disease progressed, Colleen soon realized how much she had taken her independence for granted.
