Simple ways to manage stress
There are number of ways to prevent and manage stress. Proper management can have great health benefits and prevent future problems for people with and without cancer. One great method for decreasing and managing stress is regular physical activity. While not over doing it is important, activity can be very helpful in reducing stress. Relaxation techniques such as deep breathing, meditation, yoga, tai chi, or even getting a massage have proven to help decrease stress. While it may seem cheesy, people always say that laughter is the best medicine, and they are not wrong. Keeping a sense of humor can help you have a positive outlook on everything and help you manage stress. Socialization with family and friends, staying engaged in hobbies, getting plenty of rest and healthy eating are also important. Avoiding vices such as caffeine, alcohol, tobacco, and drug use is also important in keeping stress levels low.
