Having a Supportive Partner When Living with Crohn's or Colitis
It's okay to feel embarrassed
Each and every individual needs someone who is kind, patient, understanding, and loving. If you have found that individual, you should let them into your life and into your ‘IBD world’. You may be hesitant or you may feel embarrassed but you shouldn’t be. Remember that having a partner who offers you constant support and is willing to understand what is going on with you is living proof that IBD is just an illness. It does not define who you are and it should not overtake your life.
