After considering all of the difficulties of both parenting and living with MS, it may seem overwhelming or unbearable to live with both. But that is not the case. It is possible to be a strong and able parent while also successfully managing MS. It takes foresight and honesty, and a steadfast belief that the disease itself cannot prevent anyone from having a satisfying and fulfilling life. A family that has one member living with MS will all need to learn how to cope with the disease together, and overcoming such a challenge is, like parenting, a reward unto itself.
