Young Star with Cystic Fibrosis Wows Her Fans

Nova's a shining star who has never let anyone, or any disease, stop her from achieving her dreams.

Nova is just like any other famous pop star. Though she's got the talent and the passion, she also had to put in the time and energy working hard at the recording studio. All this paid off though. This young talented musician has really taken on the big stage. One thing that makes Nova even more special is how she's showing cystic fibrosis who's boss.

Novalie is only 8 years old, but her whole life, she has suffered from CF. Every day, she has to endure difficulty breathing and get lengthy treatments for her lung health. She's got tons of medications and can often feel weak or out of breath. But none of this stops Nova from pursuing her dreams; she's hitting the spotlight full force with a passion. Even though her disease specifically targets her lungs, she overcomes this and pursues the one things that you need a set of lungs for - singing!

Nova's dream to be a rockstar became a reality, thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation

Nova is one special little girl who, despite having a chronic, debilitating disease, has been living life to the fullest. She didn't do this without a little help though - no one can make it in this world alone! The Make-A-Wish foundation has seriously outdone itself. Nova's wish was to be a rockstar, and thanks to Make-A-Wish America's board member, Kevin O'Toole, Nova was able to see have her special wish granted. As a musician himself, Kevin worked alongside many talented team members to compose a new hit single for Nova to perform called "Someday". Nova does an amazing job singing her heart out, and it’s followed up with a music video!

The Make-A-Wish Foundation does so much to help children all across the nation

Granting wishes is what helps make better lives for kids who have a chronic illness. It seems so simple, but it's incredibly powerful. Being able to build a lasting, happy memory in a child's life can impact their overall quality of life for years to come. By making dreams become a reality, kids everywhere gain self-confidence, hope, and a positive outlook on life despite the challenges of suffering from a critical illness.

Nova's song has given her the strength and optimism to endure the challenges of CF

"Someday" is a song and video that have helped Nova find strength and optimism despite her diagnosis. Living with cystic fibrosis isn't easy, especially for someone as young as Nova. It's difficult to feel normal when you can barely breathe due to a chronic disease, and sometimes it can be hard to find someone who understands at school or in your neighborhood. Nova's hit song has helped her find strength and positivity despite living with a chronic and serious condition.

A rapidly growing fanbase

It didn't take long for fans to notice how talented and passionate Nova was. Before long, her hit single acquired fans everywhere who all screamed her name in adoration as she arrived at her red carpet event. Just a couple recording sessions and photo shoots had done it - Nova was a superstar!

Nova got to experience what it's like to be a celebrity. She got the VIP treatment with her own personal limousine driving her by a big, flashy billboard that promoted her new song. She arrived at the red carpet, stepping out of her limo to over 200 volunteers who were all cheering her on and chanting her name. "Nova! Nova! Nova!” they cheered. Nova was no doubt an awesome rock star! The experience was all beyond her wildest dreams.

Nova's fans and supporters did the whole shebang. There were autographs to be signed, crazed paparazzi, screaming fans left and right, and media interviews with every major news channel, with reporters excited to get her attention. Nova handled her red carpet moment as gracefully as any old pro. Her inspiration? The beautiful and talented Katy Perry.

Nova's music video was featured at the event

After the event, Nova led her fans to the Sheraton Hotel's ballroom. They had an exclusive feature event documenting the creation of the official music video. Nova's sweet, smiling face enters the big screen as she passionately performs her special song, dancing and playing with other kids in the adorable and creative music video. It was quite the production, and after the show, Nova and her team were celebrated with thunderous applause, and Nova celebrated by dancing through the night with all her new friends.

Everyone, including Nova, left the event that night with full hearts and smiling faces

The night was one Nova and her friends, new and old, would never forget. Family, friends, and fans all left Nova's red carpet extravaganza decked out with autographed headshots of this special star celebrity as well as copies of the music video on a DVD. It was a red carpet night that Nova will cherish for the rest of her life - and no doubt it won't be the last!
