Pyrithione is a product known and sold under many trade names, e.g. – 2 in 1 Dandruff, Beta Med, DermaZinc and etc. This product is used in order to help decrease the symptoms of dandruff and treat seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp.

Pyrithione is available in many forms – shampoo, lotion, cream, soap, solution, bar and cream.

Before you apply the shampoo, wet your hair and scalp with warm water. After that, apply the shampoo and massage the scalp and wash the hair with water. Do the same thing again and the dry the hair. Make sure you avoid contact between the product and your eyes. If this product gets in your eyes, wash them for 10 minutes with warm water.

The dose is individual for every patient, prescribed by your doctor and based on your condition and the prognosis of the treatment. Usually, it is advised to use this product twice in a week.
