Interactions
FUDR may interact with medications such as:
- Drugs that may decrease bone marrow function such as azathioprine or trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole
- Past or present use of alkylating-type cancer drugs such as chlorambucil, cyclophosphamide or melphalan
Side Effects
There are no side effects known aside from a possible allergic reaction in people who have previous or unknown hypersensitivity to the drug.
Watch out for signs of allergic reactions such as:
- Rash
- Itching
- Swelling
Warnings
Before taking this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have the following:
- Allergy to floxuridine
- Poor nutrition
- Decreased bone marrow function or blood cell disorders such as anemia, leukopenia or thrombocytopenia
- A serious infection
- Liver problems
- Kidney problems
- Past high-dose radiation treatment of the pelvis
- Pregnancy or lactation
