Hyperstat is a drug which is used to reduce elevated blood pressure in severe hypertension. This drug is available as an injection containing Diazoxide 300 milligrams in 20 milliliters.

    • Hydrochlorothiazide
    • or Chlorthalidone

Side Effects

There are no side effects known aside from a possible allergic reaction in people who have previous or unknown hypersensitivity to the drug.

Watch out for signs of allergic reactions such as:

  • Rash
  • Itching
  • Swelling

Warnings

Before taking this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have the following:

  • Allergy to diazoxide or to other thiazides such as:
    • Hydrochlorothiazide
  • Low blood minerals (low potassium blood levels)
