KGS HC

KGS HC is a cough suppressant drug used in the relief of cough and congestion of colds and other respiratory infections. This drug is available as a 5mg-350mg/5ml Syrup.

  • or Nalbuphine
• Potassium tablets or capsules
• Pramlintide
• MAO inhibitors:
  • Isocarboxazid
  • Linezolid
  • Methylene blue
  • Moclobemide
  • Phenelzine
  • Procarbazine
  • Rasagiline
  • Selegiline
  • Tranylcypromine
• Certain antihistamines such as:
  • Diphenhydramine
• Anti-seizure drugs such as:
  • Carbamazepine
• Medicine for sleep or anxiety such as:
  • Alprazolam
  • Diazepam
  • or Zolpidem
• Muscle relaxants
• Narcotic pain relievers such as:
  • Codeine
  • or Morphine
• Psychiatric medicines such as:
  • Chlorpromazine
  • Risperidone
  • Amitriptyline
  • or Trazodone

Side Effects:

There are no side effects known aside from a possible allergic reaction in people who have previous or unknown hypersensitivity to the drug.

Watch out for signs of allergic reactions such as:

• Rash
• Itching
• Swelling

Warnings:

Before taking this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have the following:

• Allergy to hydrocodone or to homatropine, or to other narcotic medications such as:
  • Codeine
• Adrenal gland problems such as:
  • Addison's disease
• Abdominal problems
• Breathing problems
• Brain disorders
• Severe infectious diarrhea such as:
  • Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea
• Narrow-angle glaucoma
• Kidney disease
• Liver disease
• Personal or family history of drug or alcohol abuse
• Mental or mood disorders
• Kyphoscoliosis
• Recent surgery
• Hypothyroidism
• Difficulty urinating such as:
  • Enlarged prostate
  • or Urethral stricture
• Pregnancy or lactation
