Kapidex is a drug used in the treatment of erosive esophagitis and non-erosive gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). This drug is available as a delayed release capsule containing 30 mg or 60 mg of dexlansoprazole.

If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. Continue to use it as prescribed by your doctor or as stated on the package label.
Interactions:
Kapidex may interact with medications such as:
- Methotrexate especially high-dose treatment
- Nelfinavir
- Amphetamines
- Ampicillin
- Atazanavir
- Digoxin
- Erlotinib
- Iron supplements
- Azole antifungals such as ketoconazole
Side Effects:
There are no side effects known aside from a possible allergic reaction in people who have previous or unknown hypersensitivity to the drug.
Watch out for signs of allergic reactions such as:
- Rash
- Itching
- Swelling
Warnings:
Before taking this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have the following:
- Allergy to dexlansoprazole or to similar drugs such as lansoprazole or omeprazole
- Liver disease
- Heartburn with lightheadedness or dizziness
- Chest pain or shoulder pain
- Unexplained weight loss
- Pregnancy or lactation
