Kepivance Solution for Injection is a drug used to treat and prevent severe mouth sores in patients with blood-related cancers receiving chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy. This drug is available as an injection solution containing 6.25mg of palifermin.
Instructions:
Before taking this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have the following:
- Allergy to Palifermin
- Previous skin cancer
- Pregnancy or lactation
- This does not apply.
Interactions:
Kepivance Solution for Injection may interact with medications such as:
- Unfractionated or low molecular weight heparins
- Myelotoxic chemotherapy
Side Effects:
There are no side effects known aside from a possible allergic reaction in people who have previous or unknown hypersensitivity to the drug.
Watch out for signs of allergic reactions such as:
- Rash
- Itching
- Swelling
