*Scott felt alone in his story, feeling shame and believing the abuse he suffered was his fault. It was only after seeing a TV report on sexual abuse that he found a name for the self-blame he had felt for so long. Following this realization, he started to understand that the abuse he suffered was having an effect on his personal relationships, and that he had been living “behind a wall."
