"I survived what should have killed me!!!"
The depth of *Michael’s childhood trauma seems to be too great to understand. Losing his twin sister at birth, Michael was sadistically and cruelly tortured by his mother. She locked him in closets and cellars, and ultimately he was forced to live outside and bare the elements. Michael was also deliberately offered to a neighborhood pedophile who would repeatedly rape him, and even after being removed from his mother’s custody, Michael found himself being sexually abused by his caregivers.
When Michael left the orphanage, he faced a path of self destruction. However, his openness to the suffering of those around him and sense of empathy saved him. He entered the army, serving for 30 years and retiring in 2002 with the rank of Command Sergeant Major. Now, Michael is passionate about writing, speaking, and helping his fellow survivors find light.
