Why Your Antidepressant Is Making You Depressed

SSRIs may be linked to violent tendencies

Another side effect that can come with using anti-depressants is violent behavior. A 2015 Swedish study recently found that there was a slightly higher incidence of violent crime in people taking SSRIs compared to those who weren't. The highest incidence was in the younger age group, between the ages of 15 and 24. 77% of the crimes committed were done by men, and they found that only the use of Zoloft, also known as sertraline, was associated with this increased risk.
