He's Lying Next To You...The Difference Between Psychopaths, Sociopaths, and Narcissists

It's a lot harder to spot both sociopaths and psychopaths

Sociopaths and psychopaths can be difficult to spot, and they’re more common than you might think.

Psychopaths are experts at manipulating the way others perceive them. Although they are incapable of feeling empathy or remorse, they can be remarkably skilled at pretending to display these characteristics. They observe the emotions of other people, so they can mimic and fake those emotions themselves. It’s all an act, but they can be eerily convincing. Many psychopaths are charming and intelligent, so it’s easy for them to get others to fall under their spell.

Sociopaths aren’t as cool and calculated as psychopaths. They are blatantly selfish, they blame other people for their own shortcomings, and they make up excuses for their bad behavior. Like psychopaths, they exhibit a complete disregard for the negative effects their actions have on other people.

Most psychopaths and sociopaths are neither violent nor criminal. They use manipulation, rather than violence or crime, to get what they want.
