About the Job

What's It Like To Be a Traveling Nurse?

To become a travel nurse, pick your destination and find an agency that fits you

Once you are ready to join the exciting world of a traveling nurse, pick your destination and the traveling nurse agency that fits you and review their requirements.

Hospitals are looking for healthcare professionals who meet their nursing and care requirements to fill in for leaves of absence, assist with upcoming EMR conversions, help with season fluctuations, and take over for healthcare workers who have quit or gone on to other venues.

You are required to be competent and experienced. While on assignment you will step into unfamiliar situations and you will be expected to provide knowledgeable and high-quality care. As a travel nurse, you must be able to work without direct supervision. Your assignment staff will expect you to know what you are doing.

In addition to experience, you will need an active nursing license or other appropriate accreditation in one of the 50 US states. You must have an adventurous spirit, a desire to share your skills, and be able to adapt.
