Kate experienced the power of nursing firsthand in the Evelina London Children's Hospital.
Kate Middleton is no stranger to nursing and aiding those with medical issues. In January of 2018, the Duchess proved she had the skills of a caregiver when she helped a 10-year-old boy who was waiting in line to visit with her.
During her visit, the Duchess experienced the expertise and dedication of nurses as they take care of the children in the Snow Leopard Ward at Evelina London Children’s Hospital. The team was led by a nurse who was an expert in training relatives and caregivers on how to use a child’s ventilation equipment and prepare their child for going home.
The Duchess was astounded by what these nurses can do for the children in their care.
Kate also attended a roundtable dialogue with nurses newly graduated nurses to experienced nurses and from many different countries to discover what it means to be a 21st-century nurse.
