Coming to Terms with an Autism Diagnosis

Start with those you trust

A lot of people find it easier to talk about their condition with those they are closest to and those they trust the most. This makes sense considering these are the people that you would go to in your most difficult times anyway. This is essentially a good way to practice talking about your condition without too much pressure of the person you're talking to reacting poorly. You can also be sure that this person will respect your wishes if you don't want them to talk about your condition with anyone else.
