Autism: Helping Young Adults with Puberty
The program's successes
Overall, the program was a huge success. Parents were so happy to have help with the very difficult talk about puberty. This program uses a nicely structured schedule that had their kid’s special needs in mind. The kids loved the experience. They learned a lot in an environment that helped them feel comfortable. They were especially happy to also meet friends going through the same challenges as them. The organization says that they will keep hosting classes like this in the future.
They also want to branch out and teach other autism centers about their program.
