The study that was recently completed by primary authors Elaine Lim and Christopher Walsh, both of the Boston Children’s Hospital, studied genetic mutations that occur after conception. The research team studied information from over 6,000 families and concluded that these post-conception genetic mutations play a key role in the development of autism.
