Healthy Weight Management for Children with Autism

Final thoughts for Children with Autism

Final thoughts

Childhood obesity is undoubtedly a growing concern for American parents and caregivers. While programs and policies have been introduced in recent years that provide information about healthy living for children, very few initiatives have been designed to specifically help children with autism combat obesity. A familiarity with general principles of health is a great place to start, but beyond that, children and caregivers must also identify the unique factors a child with autism is facing that prevent optimal health, and then come up with creative strategies to overcome them.
