In an interview with Boston news, Jackie said that her son could have picked a different location, such as Philadelphia or Pennsylvania, but he picked Massachusetts because it was where everything started. She found it really exciting, seeing her son love history so much and talking with park rangers. She even talked about how John definitely knew more about history than any of them in the family.
Jackie said that without the Acton Minutemen, her son’s wish would not have come true. The entire family thought that their journey in Boston, which included the tours, would end early because of the bad weather and the cancelling of the bridge reenactment.
