My 5 year old son has poor vision. When should he start to wear glasses?

My son is 5 years old and has trouble seeing things clearly, such as books or his legos. Is he too young to start wearing glasses?

A complete ophthalmologic exam should be performed.
He may need glasses. See an ophthalmologist.
He should have glasses to correct any refractive errors. There is a risk of amylopia or lazy eyes if not corrected before aged 5 years.
It is not too young as long as he has seen an optometrist and recommendations were made.
No. He should get his eyes checked immediately, especially before kindergarten to help him read better. Even 1-year-old babies with extremely poor vision may need glasses. There are special bands at the legs to keep them on. Most children when they see better will wear their glasses.
