Abdominal discomfort/pain?

I'm a 29 year old male from the UK who has suffered from abdominal discomfort/pain on the left side/middle of my stomach for 11 months. The discomfort can go away for a few days but then comes back again. I suffer from loose stools and have done for many years. IBS runs in my family as my father and sister both suffer from it. I have had an ultrasound and was told I had a fatty liver and gallstones. I've recently had a throat endoscopy and everything came back normal. All my blood tests urine samples and stool samples have all come back normal. I suffer from anxiety and I am worried this is something serious. I haven't lost any weight nor does it get worse when I eat food. I don't drink alcohol and I don't smoke. Thank you for any help.

Gallbladder stones can cause abdominal pain, but that would be predominantly on the right side of the abdomen, under the ribs, and sometimes in the center, under your breast bone. Diarrhea along with the abdominal discomfort you are describing, may be due to pancreatic insufficiency. Talk to your doctor to see if you qualify for a fecal fat stool sample to see how well you're able to digest fats, which is initiated by the pancreas.
You say you had a "throat endoscopy". If by this you mean and EGD, then you have already seen a GI specialist who should be looking for an explanation for your pain. You need a full history and exam, which the GI doctor may have already done. I need a lot more detail about the pain to venture a guess about the underlying cause.
Consult GI. May need CT scan of abdomen and pelvis.
