OB-GYN (Obstetrician-Gynecologist) Questions OB-GYN

Am I pregnant?

My period is 23 days late and the 2 tests I've taken were positive but they are very faint. I've been nauseous and tired and having lower back and chest pain. Today I just saw bleeding, enough to
fill up pads and clot on tissue, and feeling very tired and bad cramps. I’m trying to see if I'm having a miscarriage.

It is certainly possible that you are either very early in pregnancy or now, due to the bleeding, an early miscarriage. The only way to know what is going on is to have a blood test called a Quantitative Beta HCG.
Bleeding with cramps in the first trimester is a possible sign for miscarriage
Rarely it is not
Serial HCG blood levels will tell us if it is or not
Hello, Bleeding in pregnancy is never normal and can be a sign of a miscarriage. I would recommend seeing an Ob/gyn for blood work and possible an ultrasound.
Bleeding in early pregnancy is very common. It doesn=E2=80=99t mean you have had a miscarriage. You can check a blood test to determine the status of your pregnancy and it takes about 48 to 60 hours to get the results. This may be the fastest way to determine the health of your pregnancy. Your doctor can assist you with the blood tests. Good Luck!
