ā€œAnkle pain?ā€

Back in September 2020, I injured my knee and ankle was not able to walk on it for a few weeks. Unfortunately, I did not get an MRI done so I am unsure if the severity of my injury. My knee hurt until March and my ankle only hurt for about a month. Fast forward to now, when I walk my ankle has bones and joints rubbing against each other which causes me pain when Iā€™m walking or driving. In the picture, I circled where my ankle hurts and am unsure of the proper steps I need to take to prevent further injury.

I do not have insurance, so I am looking for ways I can relieve the pain on my own. Thank you for your time and I look forward to taking your advice to recover.

You need to see an orthopedic specialist to be examined and get X-rays of your ankle. You may have ligamentous instability or even a fracture.
