Are implant fixed dentures permanent?

I will get implant fixed braces. Are implant-fixed dentures permanent?

It depends on what an implant fixed denture is referring to. Some dentures are supported by implants which means the dentures snap into implants and still need to be removed at night. Some dentures are screwed into implants and therefore are not removable. So if dentures are screwed into your implant by your dentist, then yes they are permanent.
Implant-supported dentures are a long-term solution and are considered permanent compared to traditional removable dentures. They offer stability and durability by attaching to dental implants in the jawbone. However, like natural teeth, they may require maintenance over time. Regular check-ups with your dentist are essential to ensure their ongoing success. Kind Regards, Andre' Bruni DDS Mobile: 504.908.8877
I am not quite sure how to answer your question. The best person to ask would the dentist who will be doing this for you. Bear in mind, you still must do a really good job keeping your implants clean, which includes seeing your dentist regularly for a cleaning and exam. He/She will be keeping an eye on the implants to watch for bone loss, shifting "bite" on the fixed denture (also known as a "bridge") and anything else that may be going on. I would suggest getting a WaterPik or WaterFlosser and using it around all of your teeth, not just the implant bridge - fill the reservoir with an anti-bacterial solution of some sort and use it gently (set to about 2 or 3 only) to flush out and food stuffs and plaque/bacterial that may be around your teeth and just under your gums. Good luck.
