Yes Albuterol generic inhalers are the most frequent treatment for asthma attacks with wheezing and cough. They are relatively safe if not used too frequently. they are dispensed by a physician's prescription.

Albuteral is a bronchodilater it will help to open the airways , It is helpful as a rescue medicine in asthma and COPD and can help to relieve wheeze and cough but does not address the root cause of the problem. Albuterol sulfate should only be used in case of an acute asthma attack, bout of coughing or shortness of breath.
It’s not a medication to keep asthma controlled. If there is a need for Albuterol use more then twice a week it may indicate you need to see a specialist, who will evaluate your asthma status and recommend you the right medication.
