Hypertension is the silent killer get on medications before it becomes and issue in 40 years.
Hi there,
If bp is greater than 130/80 then I would start treatment. Personally I always tell people to buy a cuff to check bp at home. Recommend checking bp at different times of the day like morning , bedtime on different days. If on an average bp is higher than target then would start treatment. Unfortunately in today’s world I see even younger people with bp issues. If some one is truly healthy meaning no weight issues, don’t eat much salt, and no other obvious risk factors for high bp then would do more test to see if this high bp is a result of some other health issue. Long answer but hope it explains clearly.
Yes you should treat this (and also first undergo evaluation to exclude /secondary, /i.e., correctable and potentially curable causes of hypertension since this is too young to have such a BP, unless you are overweight).
