OB-GYN (Obstetrician-Gynecologist) Questions OB-GYN

Birth control?

So I have been on birth control for 4 months now, I am on the combination pill. I haven’t had a period with it since my pill is only 3 weeks and then I start the next one after the 3rd week. My ob-gyn said I have been on the wrong kind and my hormones are all over the place so I took my last pill Saturday and it was the last of my pack. I had unprotected sex Sunday and today, am I still protected from my birth control or should I get a plan B?

You should still be protected. It is actually common to skip a period if you’re talking the active pills continuously like it sounds like you are, so you can likely stay on what you are taking and just know that if you skip the placebo/sugar pills you’re likely to skip your periods.
