Bruising very easily?

My lower arm bruises with the least little pressure. I was wondering why this happens. I take no blood thinners.

It could depend on your other meds and illnesses. Are you diabetic, have the vascular disease? Are you doing specific activities that put you in the way of being bruised? Aging sometimes lends to thinning skin. Also if your lower arms are dry you may need to plump up the skin with an intense moisturizer. Diabetic creams over the counter are good for this. It would be good to tell your PCP and have some blood work to check your platelets and liver function. Just to rule out an organic cause. Take Care!
At your age, and having easy bruising....please see your hematologist / oncologist for a consultation...
It sounds like you have a skin condition that should be assessed by your doctor and/or a dermatologist. Perhaps your GP has an explanation.
Bruising on the skin can be caused by aging and thinning of the skin and increased fragility of superficial blood vessels. As such, light trauma to the skin can easily cause a bruise. Over-the-counter use of fish oils, aspirin containing products can also contribute. If bruising is being seen in multiple areas without any known injury or trauma to the areas, then evaluation is warranted.
Hope this was helpful.

There are a multitude of possible answers. As we age, our skin and capillaries become more fragile and we bruise more easily. There are numerous other possibilities that could be causing this. Talk to your doctor at your next visit.
