Can I continue self catheterize indefinitely?

I have BPH and am very adept at self-catheterization. I know about all the surgical options for this malady but choose to avoid them. Can I continue self catheterize indefinitely? I have had very few problems with catheterization since being found to have BPH for about 4 years. Thanks!

You can and some people do. My advice though would be consider doing a minimally invasive procedure to not have to catheterize. Those procedures would be a urolift, bipolar TURP, green light laser turp, rezume or a prostate embolization.

The short answer is yes, you can continue self catheterization indefinitely. For some people, it is the best option to empty their bladder, long term.
