If you take Plan B within 24 hours of unprotected sex, it is 95% effective. If you take it between 48 and 72 hours of unprotected sex, the efficacy rate is 61%.
If you are more than 48-72 hrs from ovulation, chances are pregnancy are almost none.
Take care!
If you are not ovulating, no. I don’t know if you can be sure you are not ovulating, but may do a pregnancy test to be sure. The plan B should however work.
You can get pregnant with unprotected sex. The plan B decreases the chances. The hard part about relying on lack of ovulation is that you may never know for sure in the current cycle if you’re ovulating that cycle – given people that have irregular ovulation do sometimes ovulate. If you’re worried about preventing pregnancy, the safest thing to do would be to see your OBGYN or primary provider to discuss a reliable form of birth control.
