OB-GYN (Obstetrician-Gynecologist) Questions COVID-19 Vaccine

Can I get the covid vaccine if I have Bacterial Vaginosis?

My doctor currently has me using boric acid and my BV is clearing up, but I just want to make sure I am ok to get my first covid vaccine dose later this week?

Hi,

The answer is super easy: DEFINITELY!!!! Nothing about getting the vaccine will make BV worse or make the vaccine less effective.
I hope that this helps.

Thanks for the question. You can definitely get the vaccine.

YES! If you have not already gotten the COVID vaccine, get it as soon as possible. There is NO vaginal infection that would prevent you from being able to get the vaccine!
