Every psychologist is different, but in general they should be equipped to help treat anxiety.
Absolutely. Anxiety is one of the most common issues dealt with by these specialists, and their methods are very effective. Good luck.
There are many professionals that can treat your anxiety not just a behavioral psychologist. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and have an intern mental health counselor on staff and we both treat anxiety. If interested please email us at info@talkingtowardshealingmhc.com. We offer virtual Telehealth session to those in the NY area. Best, Alexandrea Maratea LMHC Clinical Director Talking Towards Healing MHC
Again this is vague. The question is do you want a licensed or a preventative one? Psychology Today is wide spread and has so many unique categories. It's not black and white today. Psychology is expanded into healing arts, energy medicine, music, and so much more. Behavioral? what type? see do your research.
Yes, a behavioral psychologist can treat anxiety. There are many forms of therapy to treat anxiety, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, humanistic therapy, Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Eye Movement
Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). Therapy can also help with practicing anxiety reduction and relaxation techniques, including deep diaphragmatic breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, grounding exercises, mindfulness meditation, practicing positive mantras or positive self-talk, guided imagery and visualization, journaling or stream of consciousness writing, drawing or other forms of artistic expression, listening to music, exercise or going for a walk, petting your dog, and reaching out for support from a trusted friend or family member. I hope this has been helpful!

Yes, but it would depend on if your anxiety is fear or worry based.
