People with bipolar disorder can try to manage symptoms without medication, but its often challenging and risky because mood episodes can be severe. Medication is usually key to stability. You can discuss options with your doctorsometimes different meds have fewer side effects, or adding therapy and lifestyle changes can help. But its important to have medical guidance. If you have any further questions or need more clarity, please consult with a psychiatrist. If youre in Texas, we welcome you to reach out to www.MidCitiesPsychiatry, were here to help you.
Hello, Medication has been found to be very helpful in treating Bipolar Disorder. While I understand it is an individual choice to engage in such therapy. I advise you to discuss your concerns with your psychiatrist. There may be another medication that can work better for you or they can provide you with alternative options of other treatments in the event you discontinue your medication.
