Can a chiropractor fix a dislocated knee?

I am an 18 year old male. I want to know if a chiropractor can fix a dislocated knee?

If true dislocation, this requires surgery and there are no other options. If it is just a sprain, then they may be able to help, but I personally rarely refer my patients to chiropractors because I don’t feel they have enough training in this area of medicine
A true dislocated knee is a severe injury requiring immediate medical attention. A dislocated kneecap can be treated by a chiropractor, but if it doesn't respond quickly, then an orthopedic consult is recommended.

A true dislocated knee is probably a surgical situation. If you have a patellar tracking disorder, which may lead to knee pain, they can help with that. Knee pain may also be due to a hip or foot problem (in the case that there has not bee direct trauma to the knee), so a good chiropractor will also evaluate those areas.
If the knee is truly dislocated then it is a medical emergency. My suspicion is that you are dealing with a dislocated kneecap. A chiropractor is much better at dealing with back and neck injuries. You need a sports medicine specialist to make sure no permanent damage to the knee.
Any dislocation needs to be treated in an emergency room.

I would say no, it is outside the scope of practice for a Chiro to perform an Orthopeadic procedure
