Can a regular dentist do a bone graft?

I am a 33 year old male. I want to know if a regular dentist can do a bone graft?

Yes. You will want to find a general dentist who has had additional training and education in bone grafting to ensure a successful outcome.
Many general (regular) dentists are capable of placing bone grafts, and depending on the state's requirement, the general dentist may be allowed to place bone grafts if that is within their scope of practice as listed in your state's law and regulations.
Absolutely! Regular dentists can do bone grafts. Some dentists choose not to though and will refer you either to another general dentist who does it, or to an oral surgeon.
Hello,

Yes, a regular dentist can do bone grafting and implants provided they have taken continuing Ed courses each year. Bone graphs are necessary, especially when considering an implant for the future.

Yes, they can. If they have done courses or training to do so.

Yes, a general dentist is licensed to perform bone graft. Because this is not a procedure that is very often performed by the general dentist, they may not keep the expensive inventory of the necessary tools/instrumentations and clinical materials. Therefore they normally refer the patient to a specialist such as an oral surgeon or periodontist who perform bone graft on daily basis.
