I don't consider acupuncture a cure for anything. It can facilitate the body's ability to heal itself. Hopefully a physician is being consulted with this problem.
Yes, I have attached a related research for your review.

Yes and the source of the liver problem eliminated
Good morning, Without knowing what specific liver issues you have, its difficult to say if acupuncture will help your condition. Acupuncture is great at reducing inflammation, increasing circulation, may positively influence things like blood pressure, cholesterol and triglyceride levels, etc. In most cases, there are Chinese herbal formulas that may be beneficial for you as well. East Asian medicine is gentle, far most cost effective than surgeries or long term medications, and safe. Please let me know if I can answer any other questions for you. - Dr. Hallie

Hello, Unfortunately, I cannot tell you that acupuncture can "cure" liver problems. However, I can tell you that people with liver problems can have fantastic results with liver function. In our training, we do substantial work on improving the liver, both through the use of acupuncture and the addition of herbal and nutritional therapy. Being the most regenerative organ in the body, the liver can mount a mighty comeback once it receives this benefits. I treat a lot of liver conditions in my clinic, it is very common. I also treat a lot of conditions that are due to poor liver functioning, well before a liver disease has been diagnosed. If I were you I would definitely give it a try.

Depending on your diagnosis, sometimes detoxing thru acupuncture will start the cleansing the body. The NADA protocol will have to be used as well as body points. Then supplements will be added as you go along in this process. Good Luck on your Journey
Yes, acupuncture can cure liver problems.
Acupuncture and herbs can certainly help heal and strengthen your liver, but I don't know if it can fix any serious problems. Call practitioners near you to see if any of them have any experience with your situation.
"Liver problems" covers a lot of ground. I'd need a lot more information before I could tell you whether or not acupuncture is a good treatment choice, much less whether or not you could expect some sort of resolution to your issue.

Here's my suggestion: go out to NCCAOM.org and use their 'Find a Practitioner' lookup. Get a list of board certified providers local to you, then call around and see if any of them offers a free consult. Bring any lab results or imaging with you to the consult, let the provider look over where you are and ask questions, and see whether or not they think acupuncture or Chinese medicine will be helpful in your case.
