The good news is is that acupuncture is generally excellent when it comes to treating pain. In Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) it is believed that all disease, pain and discomfort are the result of the stagnation of the energetic movement in the body know as Qi (Chee). By using hair thin acupuncture needles and the selection of certain acupuncture points, a Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.) can direct that energy to move and therefore can improve and/or resolve most painful situation regardless of the cause. Most western diagnoses are merely descriptions of a condition, whereas in TCM, a description of a condition not only describes the cause but how to treat it as well. So regardless of the cause, like nerve pain, it is almost incidental for an acupuncture treatment to help, as an L.Ac., who will focus on specific meridians and/or certain diagnostic combinations of acupuncture points to both improve pain and resolve its cause Jody Eisemann, L.Ac., NCCAOM Main Office: 9 Mott Ave. Suite 206B Norwalk, CT 06850 www.AcupunctureHealingCT.com (203) 216-2548 jeisemann2@gmail.com

We will exam 1st. Then provide dry needling 1st. Patients will find instant results in general.
Depending on patients’ medical histories and conditions, each patient will have different responses. Patients will have to follow up in 3-7days depending on severity.
Patients will be examined again on how much difference they have experienced since the initial acupuncture treatment.
Then we can give patients a plan for symptomatology.
If we find limitations in improvements, we will apply different plans as a holistic approach.
Acupuncture, combined with massage and herbs, can help relieve hand nerve pain gradually.

Yes, acupuncture can help with hand nerve pain.
I don't know what you mean by nerve pain.
That really depends upon what is causing your "nerve pain." That being said, acupuncture can sometimes be effective with nerve pain. Best to ask your physician.
Yes, it should be able to help. Consider reducing overall inflammation too- avoiding sugar, artificial dyes & flavorings, preservatives, artificial sweeteners, and any foods you might be reacting to.
Yes, I have several patients I am treating for hand and foot nerve pain. Sometimes it takes a little while, but stick with it. You'll be glad you did.
Thank you for your question. According to Johns Hopkins Medicine, "acupuncture points are believed to stimulate the central nervous system." Stimulating points associated with an individual's specific circumstance releases chemicals that help to reduce the symptoms of nerve pain. A proper diagnosis is recommended from your primary health care provider prior to your visit.
Acupuncture is an excellent treatment choice for most kinds of pain - including neuropathy. How quickly someone is able to get traction on your issue may depend on what, exactly, is the cause. Acupuncture should be able to, at least, reduce the pain and make the hand more functional.
