Pediatric Oncologist Questions Chemotherapy

Can chemotherapy cause restlessness?

After my son has chemotherapy, he is very restless and cannot fall asleep. Is this a normal side effect?

Children respond in all kinds of ways to chemotherapy, depending on your son's age, disease and treatment he is getting. Look for signs of pain or anxiety, and mention this to your son's doctor. It may be helpful to keep a log of when this happens, the exact symptoms, how many days/nights it lasts, etc.
I wish him all the best.
