Can childhood abuse cause attention deficit in adults?

My childhood was physically abusive. I'm 30 now and I have very bad symptoms of ADD. Can childhood abuse cause attention deficit in adults?

Yes it can as well as many other things such as trauma and drug addictions and substance abuse. A psychiatrist will put you on medication if it already hasn’t happened. Therapy can help but if it’s true ADD then the main symptoms will be better than not, such as talking a lot and not caring about others and go go go and nothing gets done and things like caffeine will make you relaxed. If you don’t have all those items then it may not be bad and may not need medication at least at first.
